Primary job roleThe Senior Software Engineer – SSRS will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining reports using SSRS to meet business requirements. The role holder will work closely with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and deliver high-quality, visually appealing reports.Main duties/responsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).Create and modify T-SQL queries to extract and manipulate data for reporting purposes.Collaborate with business analysts and end-users to understand reporting requirements.Analyze complex datasets to ensure accurate and meaningful presentation of information in reports.Perform data validation and ensure data integrity in reporting solutions.Optimize and fine-tune existing reports for improved performance.Identify and resolve issues related to data retrieval and report rendering.Document report specifications, data sources, and report metadata.Maintain documentation for future reference and knowledge sharing.Work closely with other developers, database administrators, and business analysts to ensure seamless integration of reports into business processes.Provide support and training to end-users on report usage.Conduct thorough testing of reports to ensure accuracy and reliability.Troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during the testing phase.Stay abreast of industry trends and updates related to SSRS and reporting tools.Continuously enhance skills and knowledge in SSRS and related technologies.Experience2+ years of experience in SSRS report development and SQL, with a track record of successful implementations.Proven experience in SSRS report development and T-SQL scripting.Experience with other reporting tools and data visualization techniques.
