Senior Business Analyst – Banking & FinanceJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Business Analyst with deep domain knowledge in Banking and Financial Services to lead business analysis initiatives that support digital transformation, regulatory compliance, and customer-centric innovations. The ideal candidate will collaborate with product, technology, and business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, improve operational processes, and deliver robust, data-driven solutions in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.Key Responsibilities:Act as a strategic partner to banking and financial services stakeholders to identify business needs, define clear requirements, and deliver scalable solutions.Analyze current banking processes such as customer onboarding, loan origination, KYC/AML, transaction monitoring, and payments to identify optimization opportunities.Collaborate with product managers, developers, and QA teams to ensure requirements are translated effectively into functional specifications.Develop and maintain documentation such as BRDs, FRDs, process maps, and user stories aligned with banking domain standards and compliance.Support implementation of regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., Basel III, FATCA, AML, PSD2, APRA regulations).Use analytical tools and financial data insights to support business decision-making, risk mitigation, and strategic planning.Participate in UAT, defect triaging, and change management processes for banking products and systems.Contribute to solution design across platforms like core banking systems, loan management systems, CRM, and digital banking interfaces.Core Competencies:Strong understanding of banking operations, retail/wholesale banking products, financial services processes, and regulatory frameworks.Excellent analytical, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills.Proficient in requirements elicitation techniques and stakeholder engagement within financial environments.Strong documentation skills, especially for regulated environments.Advanced user of tools such as Microsoft Office, JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and process modeling tools.Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies tailored to banking transformation initiatives.Time management, project planning, budgeting (limited scope), and basic financial modeling.Exposure to risk management frameworks, quality assurance processes, and change control procedures in financial projects.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.5+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in the Banking or Financial Services industry.Strong understanding of core banking systems, digital banking, or fintech solutions.Experience in delivering business and regulatory initiatives such as credit risk models, fraud detection, AML/KYC enhancements, and payment modernization.Preferred Skills and Certifications:CBAP®, CCBA®, PMI-PBA®, or similar business analysis certification.Knowledge of financial data analysis tools such as SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.Familiarity with UX/UI design collaboration in fintech product development.Experience working with Banking-as-a-Service platforms, APIs, and cloud-based financial tools is a plus.
