We are seeking a visionary Architect – AI & Data Science to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and impactful AI solutions that power critical innovations in the financial services sector.This is a strategic role, ideal for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership and enterprise architecture experience.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement end-to-end AI & DS solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and compliance.Architect and oversee AI/ML platforms integrating data pipelines, model development, deployment,monitoring, and lifecycle management.Translate complex business needs into AI/ML-driven solutions and technical frameworks.Drive MLOps implementation including CI/CD pipelines for models, versioning, governance, and monitoring.Work closely with data engineers, ML teams, and key stakeholders to align AI initiatives with broader enterprise goals.Ensure adherence to standards around data privacy, model interpretability, fairness, and responsible AI practices.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science,Information Technology, or a related field.15+ years of industry experience, including at least 8 years in hands-on AI/DS roles.Prior experience in roles such as AI & DS Architect, Senior Tech Lead – AI & DS, or equivalent leadership positions.Experience in banking or financial services is a strong asset.Background in IT modernization, legacy system integration, and large-scale enterprise transformation.Strong proficiency in Python, Scala, Java, with hands-on experience in TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Airflow, AWS, Azure, GCP, Spark, Kafka, SQL, Snowflake,Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and governance tools such as model cards, XAI tools, and diƯerential privacy.High attention to detail and problem-solving mindsetAdaptable, curious, and eager to explore emerging AI technologiesComfortable working both independently and within collaborative, agile teamsAlignment with ComBank’s IT culture and strategic visionProven experience in leading high-impact technical teamsStrong project management capabilities including task estimation and stakeholder coordinationExcellent communication skills to serve as a liaison between business and technical teams
